The Android smartphones are blowing away their competition.
People want an Android smartphone over the iPhone
They also prefer the Android handsets over the Blackberry
According to a new report that has been released by the people from Nielsen, more consumers would rather have an Android smartphone over the iPhone and the Blackberry handsets. The people most noted for their television ratings conducted a three month survey asking consumers which mobile OS they prefer, the Android OS won the survey. The survey took place the first three months of this year. The results are as follows with thirty-one percent chose the Android, thirty percent chose the iPhone, and only eleven percent opted for the Blackberry.
The last time this survey was conducted was between July and September of 2010. The iPhone was the majority winner last time with 33%, 26 % for the Android, and 13% for the Blackberry. The other big name in the mobile OS, Microsoft didn’t fare too well with 7% last time and only 6% this time. The Palm and Symbian OS didn’t fare so well either with 2% and 1% respectively. The others were undecided.
The Android and the iOS are more preferred by app developers. They don’t like the Windows, Blackberry, Palm, or Symbian platforms. It seems as though that consumers don’t like them that much either. Which mobile OS do you prefer? I would really love to hear your comments. Now get out there and enjoy your day!
