OVER 100 MILLION ANDROID DEVICES STRONG, THAT CAN’T BE WRONG

The Android Army

During the latest Google I/O Conference, we learned a lot of cool things.

We learned of the Google Music service

We learned of Chrome being available on netbooks starting June 15

During the latest conference we learned some very interesting and exciting news about the Google Android Mobile Operating System. The use of Android has literally skyrocketed since it first came onto the scene back in October of 2008. At the beginning of the year there was 500,000 activated Android devices, we now learn that there are over 100 million worldwide.

This time last year there were 100,000 Android devices being activated daily. Then by August the number had doubled and by December of 2010 there were approximately 300,000 devices activated daily. The number as of today is 400,000 devices activated daily.

We have over 100 million activated Android devices. Over 310 different devices, from cell phones, smart phones, tablets….. Does this include the Kindles and the Nooks? There are 112 different countries and 215 different carriers. There are also over 450,000 Android app developers and over 250,000 apps, which have been downloaded over 4.5 billion times.

There is no stopping the Droid. It is available on more devices and carriers then the iOS. You can also run Android on your desktop, laptop, or netbook. Just do a Google search on it. I would really like to hear your thoughts. Now get out there and enjoy your day!
