Pioneer App Radio, Now You Can Enjoy Your Favorite Apps From Your Cars Dashboard!

Everyone loves the apps weather it be games apps, utility apps, social media apps, the list goes on.

Now you literally can take your apps with you.

You can have them there right on your dashboard.

Pioneer, the innovators in car stereos have teamed with Aha Radio for the next generation in car radios. This is going to be pure app domination. Now you can drive down the highway and get updates from Twitter, Facebook, watch podcasts, read from your favorite RSS, and even get Yelp reviews read to you. You no longer have to be at home. It will also have Pandora integration as well.

Pioneer and Harmon, the makers of Aha Radio are truly on to something here. Large touch screens and built in navigation. Pioneer has something that they call PAIS, it is the Platform for Aggregation of Internet Services. It’s going to be huge. It’s basically an intermediary that would more or less aggregate multiple services, enabling you to get POI's, reviews, send and receive status updates. The idea is for this to run on both mobile and Pioneer devices.

There are only a few people who have jumped on this bandwagon. They include Accuweather, Facebook, Google, Slacker, Twitter, and Yelp. There have been two model’s released, one going for $800, the other for $1200. I would really love to hear your thoughts on this. I think that it’s a great idea.
