Now you can use your Windows documents, pictures, music, downloads, Internet bookmarks all on your Mac without the hassle of installing Windows. Parallels Transporter for the App Store is new and being offered for a $1. Yes you read that right. If you are making the switch, or thing of making the switch this is a very cheap way to do it.

You can access the documents that you created in Windows on your Mac. Find all your files from your PC in the proper folders on your Mac. Use all of your internet bookmarks in Safari on your Mac. GOOGLE IS PROVIDING THE ANDROID A MUCH NEEDED SECURITY FIX GLOBALLY STARTING TODAY

Smartphones & tablets are vulnerable to personal data attacks.

Today owners of an Android powered smartphone or tablet should start receiving security updates.

As expected after the release of multiple web articles, Google is finally addressing the much needed security flaw to the Android OS. The security flaw that is being updated could, under some certain circumstances, allow a third party access to data available in Calendar, Contacts & Picasa Web Albums. This security fix requires no action from users and will roll out globally over the next few days starting today. However this security fix doesn’t address the Picasa issue, due to the fact that it is not as vital as the Contacts & Calendar vulnerabilities.

Initially the bug allows predators to access the Calendar & Contacts utilizing the ClientLogin authentications protocol. The auto update should be completed by weeks end.   What do you think concerning this security flaw? Have you started to receive your updates yet?  Will it discourage you from purchasing a new smartphone or tablet powered by Android? I would love to hear any comment that you may have concerning this matter. As always enjoy your day!

DOES THE DELL STEAK PRO HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPETE IN THE ANDROID TABLET MARKET?

With all of the Android tablets and phones on the market, Will Dell succeed with the Streak Pro?

It seems as though that sales were somewhat sluggish for the Dell Aero and the Dell Streak. What makes the Streak Pro different? With HTC and Samsung leading the pack in the Android smartphone and tablet market, Does Dell stand a chance? With this release from Dell, we just may see that the tablet wars are heating up.

The rumored specifications include the Android Honeycomb 3.1 OS, a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, up to 64 GB of internal storage, a pair of cameras, 10.1” LCD display at 1280 X 800 megapixels, 1 GB of memory. Additional features include an optional media dock, keyboard, and charging accessories.

With so many companies competing with different tablets, Will the Streak Pro attract any customers? Who will walk away with the Android tablet crown? I would love to hear any comments that you may have. As always, get out there and enjoy your day!

HELP TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM PRIVACY INVASION & IDENTITY THEFT WITH LAPLINK PC LOCK

Do you know about Laplink PC software?

You should, for over 25 years now Laplink has been the global leaders in PC connectivity.

Laplink has released PC Lock, data encryption software with cloud management.

With it’s Web Management Console users can modify preferences, change settings, reset passwords, lock the data on a missing or stolen PC and remotely delete data. The virtual console is accessible from any web-enabled device, including smartphones. This software is simply user friendly that walks users through installation, configuration and encryption of their PC’s data.

Upon the installation the tool automatically encrypts files in the background while the user can be doing something else. Files are unencrypted when opened and re-encrypted when saved. Encrypted files are locked behind a user password, which is different from the Windows login. If you should happen to forget your PC Lock password, you can still login to Windows and access the Web Management Console and reset your password.  It even adds another level of security by preventing against cold boot hacks and pre boot login issues.

Users are still protected if the PC is lost or stolen. You can simply access the Web Management Console and wipe the encrypted data. Even if your PC gets stolen and the hard drive gets pulled, the data remains encrypted and inaccessible.

Today is the last of the 24 hour giveaway of this fantastic product. After that the normal price is $14.95. To keep your data private, that is quite a bargain. I know that I am impressed by this software and all of the software from Laplink.  I would encourage you to click on the link at the top of this page and get your free copy before time runs out. I would love to hear your comments. Get out there and enjoy your day!
